UT Women’s Golf Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth gave the keynote address at the 10th annual Go Red for Women Luncheon last fall.

Hollingsworth will talk about the day when she collapsed last summer and how losing 73 pounds before that fateful event helped save her life.

“I’m honored to be able to tell my story again for the American Heart Association,” she said. “I’m hoping that my sharing of what happened to me last summer will help others realize it can happen to them. Knowing the signs could save your life. In my case, reacting quickly by calling 911 did that for me. I hope we see a lot of people at this event.”

She will talk about the symptoms that signaled her heart problem: diarrhea, dizziness, low pulse, fever and vomiting. “I was atypical, which shows that anyone can experience a heart episode. You can’t rule it out just because you are young and in relatively good health,” she said.

Hollingsworth will be giving three 15-minute presentations in the atrium at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
