A battle of first-place teams from West and East divisions of the Mid-American Conference will take place when Toledo travels to Ohio Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m., and the game will be televised by ESPN2.

Logan Woodside set a new Toledo record for career passing yards. As of Nov. 2, the senior quarterback has 9,288 career passing yards, 62 more than the previous record holder, Bruce Gradkowski.

The Rockets (8-1, 5-0 MAC) are coming off a crucial 27-17 victory over West Division rival Northern Illinois at the Glass Bowl Nov. 2. The win gave the Rockets sole possession of first place in the West and gives them control of their own destiny in the race for the division crown.

Senior quarterback Logan Woodside threw for 361 yards as the Toledo Rockets overcame a determined NIU team that had knocked UT out of the MAC title race numerous times in the past decade. Woodside completed 23 of 31 passes on his way to setting the Toledo record for career passing yards.

Senior Terry Swanson reached a milestone of his own, becoming the seventh Rocket to rush for more than 3,000 yards in his career. Swanson was a workhorse, running the ball a career-best 29 times for 116 yards and three touchdowns, also a career high.

Ohio (7-2, 4-1 MAC), winners of three straight games, is tied for first place with Akron in the MAC East Division. Most recently, the Bobcats defeated archrival Miami, 45-28, Oct. 31. Their only conference loss was a 26-23 home-field setback to Central Michigan Oct. 7.

Toledo leads the Bobcats in the series, 31-20-1. Ohio won in Toledo last year, 31-26, snapping a 12-game Rocket winning streak in the series.
