The Toledo men’s basketball program will have five of its Mid-American Conference home games televised this season on Time Warner Sports Channel.Toledo will have Time Warner cameras inside Savage Arena beginning with its first league home game against Central Michigan Saturday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m.
The Rockets’ other dates will be against Kent State Sunday, Jan. 26, at 6 p.m., Ohio on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m, Ball State on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m., and Western Michigan Saturday, March 1, at 6 p.m.
Toledo also will have its game at Akron Saturday, Jan. 18, televised nationally on ESPNU at 11 a.m.
UT also has the possibility of three more games being televised as part of the conference television package at Ohio on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Bowling Green on Thursday, Feb. 20, and vs. Eastern Michigan Friday or Saturday, March 7 or 8.
The regular-season finale vs. the Eagles in Savage Arena is a candidate to be picked up by ESPN2 on Friday, March 7, at 7 p.m. There is also the chance the Time Warner Cable will televise that contest Saturday, March 8, at either noon or 2 p.m.
Toledo has posted a 12-1 record to start the season. The only loss was a 93-83 decision to perennial powerhouse Kansas in Lawrence Dec. 30.
The Rockets’ appearances are part of the MAC’s 55-game men’s and women’s basketball regional television package produced and distributed by the new home for MAC basketball — Time Warner Cable SportsChannel. The scheduled games are the most in league history. In addition, there will be 15 men’s basketball games aired live on ESPN branded networks.
All games will be produced in high definition, available to Time Warner Cable subscribers, and offered to ESPN for inclusion on ESPN3, Watch ESPN and ESPN Full Court (blackout restrictions may apply).
