The University of Toledo Medical Center Outpatient Pharmacy is having a contest to name the bedside delivery program that started in May 2013.

Contestants can submit their votes at the Outpatient Pharmacy, Four Seasons Bistro, or with one of the transition of care team members by Monday, Jan. 20.

The winner of the contest will be named at the Outpatient Pharmacy’s open house in the Medical Pavilion Friday, Jan. 24, and will receive an Apple iPad Mini.

The Bedside Delivery Program for Discharge Prescriptions was designed to increase the level of satisfaction in the overall patient’s experience in the hospital, as well as assist with lowering and preventing readmissions.

The primary objective of this program is to make it more convenient for patients to receive their prescriptions. Patients’ discharge prescriptions will be processed in the Outpatient Pharmacy and delivered to the hospital room to avoid long lines and extended wait times at retail pharmacies.

The Outpatient Pharmacy is available to fill prescriptions Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and can be reached at 419.383.3750.
