Water has been restored to The University of Toledo buildings impacted by a water main break earlier today on Main Campus; however, the University cautions against drinking the water until it is tested.
The water was turned back on at 4 p.m. to the Main Campus Medical Center, International House, Academic House and Sullivan Hall. The faucets, showers and toilets can be used, but as a precaution the University is advising people to not drink the water until the city of Toledo can assist with sampling the water Wednesday.
A water main break on West Rocket Drive required the water to be shut off to nearby buildings at 11:30 a.m. in order to make the necessary repairs. There was no flooding or water damage to the buildings.
The University thanks faculty, staff and students for their patience and understanding.
