UToledo Partners with New Office Supplier

Beginning Monday, March 1, The University of Toledo will use Ohio-based Brown Enterprise Solutions through Staples as the approved office supplies and business essentials supplier.

Brown Enterprise Solutions is a minority-owned company that specializes in technology products and office supplies, which supports UToledo’s supplier diversity initiatives, said Jennifer Pastorek, senior director of supply chain management.

And with its strategic alliance with Staples, Brown Enterprise Solutions also will provide an overall improved process and cost savings for the University.

Other benefits include:

•  Fast and free delivery on supplies;

•  Wide assortment of products beyond traditional office supplies; and

•  Excellent customer service and easy returns process.

“We are proud to continue our supplier diversity initiatives within the office supply category with Brown Enterprise Solutions,” Pastorek said. “The implementation team from Brown Enterprise Solutions and Staples have been great to work with and we look forward to our partnership and to Brown Enterprise Solutions’ growth opportunities in not only office supplies but other categories of spend aligned with the University’s preferred supplier contracts.”

Prior to the upcoming change, UToledo partnered with minority firm GBEX, the diverse supply partner of Office Max/Depot.
