UTrio will play traditional jazz pieces by well-known composers, as well as original compositions by the group.

During the concert, audience members will be able to join the musicians on stage for a more intimate performance. The concert will be filmed for video release.

In addition, Weed has created a jazz organ program at UT for students. “It is so unique, it may be the only one of its kind in the country,” Weed said.

The program features student musicians on guitar, drums and horns, as well as organ. The jazz organ player covers both solos and harmony, and takes the role of the bass player.

Tickets to the concert are $5 for general admission and $3 for students, seniors and children.
