The University of Toledo is looking for members for three sponsored teams to compete in the JustPlay Sports Now charity dodgeball tournament Saturday, March 6.
Founded by Toledo native Scott Axonovitz, JustPlay Sports Now is an intramural sports organization specializing in developing, coordinating and facilitating athletic leagues, parties and special events for young professionals ages 21 to 45 across the country.
Though popular in Phoenix and other cities in the West, JustPlay Sports Now is kicking off its Toledo presence with Saturday’s dodgeball tournament. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program.
Each team will consist of six members, and teams will go head to head in a tournament until one remains to claim victory. Members of UT-sponsored teams will have their registration costs covered and will receive a T-shirt at the event.
The tournament will start at noon March 6 at Gold Medal Indoor Sports, 10020 S. Campus Drive in Rossford. Click for map.
