Toledo will hold its annual summer baseball camps during the months of June and July. Two camps consisting of youths (grades one through six) and prospect (grades 10 through 12) will be offered at Scott Park and the Toledo Baseball Practice Facility.

The Rockets’ coaching staff and players will provide detailed instruction on hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, pitching and base running.

Scott Park and the Toledo Baseball Practice Facility provide an excellent opportunity for complete baseball skill instruction and performance. The main diamond along with the practice infield and indoor batting cages enable campers to receive instructions in all aspects of the game.

In the youth sessions, campers will receive instruction and perform various drills to improve throwing, hitting, pitching, infield defense, outfield defense and base running.

The youth camp will be offered twice: Monday through Thursday, June 17-20, and Monday through Thursday, July 22-25. Both sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost for this camp is $100.

The prospect camp is for baseball players who will graduate from high school in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The one-day camp is designed to give players a chance to develop their talents in both instructional and game settings. This camp will include batting practice and instructional sessions on pitching, catching, hitting and base running. Each camper also will participate in a live scrimmage during the day.

This camp will take place Monday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $125.
