Campers will have a chance to learn from the 2012 Mid-American Conference West Division Champion Rockets.

Toledo will hold its annual summer baseball camps during June and July. Two camps will be for youths (grades first through sixth), and a prospect (grades 10-12) camp will be offered at Scott Park and the Toledo Baseball Practice Facility.

These two separate camps are designed to provide athletes with individual instructions covering all areas of the game and are divided into groups by age for instruction. The Rockets’ coaching staff and players will provide detailed instruction on hitting, throwing, catching, fielding, pitching and base running.

Scott Park and the Toledo Baseball Practice Facility provide an opportunity for complete baseball skill instruction and performance. The main diamond, the practice infield and indoor batting cages enable campers to receive instructions in all aspects of the game.

In the youth sessions, campers will receive instruction and perform various drills to improve throwing, hitting, pitching, infield defense, outfield defense and base running.

Two youth camps will be offered; the first one will take place Monday through Thursday, June 18-21, and the second one will be Monday through Thursday, July 16-19. Hours for both will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $100.

The prospect camp will be held Monday, June 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is for any baseball players who will graduate from high school in 2013-15. The one-day camp is designed to give players a chance to develop their talents in both instructional and game settings. This camp will include batting practice and instructional sessions on pitching, catching, hitting and base running. Each camper also will participate in a live scrimmage during the day. Cost is $125.
