The University of Toledo Libraries recently announced it is again accepting book donations for consideration to its general collections at the Carlson and Mulford Libraries.

All donations must be pre-approved by completing the University Libraries’ Donation Information Form. This will help facilitate the donation process.

Due to limited space, University Libraries can only accept items produced by local authors, books on local history or books that directly support the University’s current teaching and research needs. All donated materials become property of The University of Toledo Libraries. At the discretion of University Libraries, donated materials may be added to the collections, sold or recycled.

Books donated to the University Libraries that are not added to the collection will be sent to Better World Books, an online bookseller that collects and sells books matching each purchase with a donation, Book for Book, and with each sale generating funds for the University Libraries and a nonprofit literacy cause.

Each book sold by Better World Books will help fund nonprofit literacy partners helping people to read in the United States and around the world.
