The University of Toledo women’s basketball team will participate in the 2021 Women’s Cancun Challenge Tournament at the Hard Rock Riviera Maya resort in Cancun, Mexico this November, tournament officials announced.

The Rockets will face off against Idaho State on Thursday, Nov. 25, at 6:30 p.m. before battling Seton Hall on Friday, Nov. 26, at 4 p.m. The other teams playing in the Cancun Challenge are Arizona State, Baylor, Fordham, Houston, Iowa, UCF and USC. Games will be played in the modified ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya; teams and their fans will be in walking distance from their rooms to the games, as well as to restaurants and pools.

This will be the second time Toledo has played in the Cancun Challenge, with the last trip coming in 2016. The Rockets faced Davidson and No. 9 UCLA that season, defeating the Wildcats by a score of 76-41 before falling to the nationally ranked Bruins by just two points, 75-73.

All games will be broadcast through FloHoops.

Seating is limited for this exclusive event, and all fans should book land travel packages through Triple Crown Sports for admission into games in Mexico.
