A new look to the daily UT email debuts today to provide the information students, faculty and staff need to know with the clear and concise UT NewsBreak.

UT NewsBreak replaces the UT Update email sharing the latest news from the myUT page and other campus announcements each day right to your inbox.

“UT NewsBreak retains the great daily content you are used to seeing, but in a new design that is more visually appealing and offers more flexibility to respond to the news of the day,” said Jon Strunk, associate vice president for university communications. “We know you are busy, and our goal is to get you an information source that can quickly direct you to the written, video and social media news shared every day.”

UT NewsBreak uses more photos and videos to promote campus events and to share achievements of UT faculty, staff and students. The UT News video newscast provides information daily during the academic year and weekly during the summer months.

The new daily email also is the source for campus information such as parking lot closures and to watch or read stories about the University in the news.

And the new design encourages the campus community to connect with UT’s social media outlets by sharing the latest posts from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
