Twelve members of the University of Toledo baseball team have been named Academic All-MAC, the league office announced Wednesday.
Darryn Davis, Jamie Myers, Kyle Jones, Danny O’Reilly, Sam Servello, Chris Meyers, Nicky Winterstein, Matt Kirk, Connor Brandon, Nate Haugh, Jordan Power and Wyatt Jefferson all earned Academic All-MAC selections. This is the second selection for Meyers, while the other 11 are being honored for the first time in their careers.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
