Public address announcer, host wanted for 2019-20 athletic season

The Toledo Rockets are seeking interested applicants to serve as a public address announcer for select varsity sports and an in-game host for all Rocket football games during the 2019-20 season.

For the public address announcer position, candidates should be spontaneous and quick-witted, with a unique and definitive personality. Candidates must have a strong knowledge of basketball and soccer, including rules and players, and have the ability to work with the game-day staff, referees and statisticians.

As an in-game host for the football season, the candidate should be energetic and confident, with strong vocal talents. The candidate also should possess a charismatic and contagious personality, along with a great sense of humor. The Rockets play a six-game home slate this season, and the candidate must be available for all six events.

The deadline to apply for these positions is Thursday, Aug. 1.
