Approximately 2,000 tickets remain for Toledo’s home-opening football game with archrival Bowling Green Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Rockets (1-1) will host the Falcons (1-1) in the Battle of I-75 at the Glass Bowl at 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30.

Fans are urged to arrive early in order to avoid heavy traffic at game time.

The Ticket Office at Savage Arena will be open this week from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Tickets also can be purchased at utrockets.com or by phone at 419.530.GOLD (4653). Season tickets also are still available.

UT students receive free admission with valid ID. Students need to enter at the southwest and southeast gates only and are urged to arrive early to avoid lines into the stadium.

All Toledo fans are reminded to wear gold Rocket gear as part of the “Be Bold, Wear Gold” promotion.

The following parking areas near the Glass Bowl will be closed to the general public and available by parking pass only beginning at 7 a.m. on game day: Areas 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10. Parking areas 3, 4, 18 and 28 will be closed at noon to allow for football parking by pass only.

General parking is available for all other lots beginning at 4 p.m. Fans coming to the game are encouraged to arrive early to secure the best possible parking spaces. Area 25 on Secor Road and areas 19 and 20 on Douglas Road (near Nitschke Hall) are the largest open lots on campus and should provide fans with the best chance for a parking spot. Visitors who will bring RVs to the game should park in areas 20 or 25.

The ticket office in Savage Arena is open from noon until 5 on game day, and will open at the Glass Bowl at 5:30 p.m. Will call is available at Savage until 5 p.m. and then will re-open at the Glass Bowl at 5:30 p.m.
