The University of Toledo football team is hosting a “ONE Rocket Against Cancer” event Saturday, Sept. 28, at noon, when the Rockets take on Brigham Young University in the Glass Bowl.
The event is meant to build awareness and support for the fight against cancer.
At halftime, UToledo Medical Center doctors and cancer survivors will form a ribbon at midfield during the ONE Rocket Against Cancer salute while the Rocket Marching Band performs Rachel Platten’s hit “Fight Song.”
Fans are encouraged to pick up and fill out their ONE Rockets signs for the halftime ONE Rocket Against Cancer salute. Fans will be asked to stand during the halftime salute to hold up their signs.
The Rockets are offering free admission to the first 200 cancer survivors (and one guest) who would like to take part in the halftime ribbon at midfield for the ONE Rocket Against Cancer salute.
