Oct. 6 deadline to enter ‘China in My Eyes’ photo contest

The Confucius Institute is holding a photo competition called “China in My Eyes.”

“Whether you’ve been to China or not, show us a depiction of China in your eyes,” Xinren Yu, program coordinator at the UT Confucius Institute. “If you have a photo you feel relates or represents China and Chinese culture, we welcome it.”

A photo must have been taken by the person entering the contest. He or she is requited to write a short description about the shot to explain why the photo represents China or Chinese culture.

All photos submitted to the contest will be on display during the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration, which will be held Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Thompson Student Union Auditorium.

The photo that receives the most votes during the event will be declared the winner, Yu said. The prize: a $25 gift card and a mini-panda.

Photos and descriptions, along with name and contact information, should be sent to confuciusinstitute@utoledo.edu.

The deadline to submit entries is midnight Friday, Oct. 6.
