The University of Toledo is working toward a cleaner, greener and litter-free campus.

Join the UT Counseling Center’s Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Prevention Program and Division of Student Affairs for Respect UT Fall Campus Clean Up Day Monday, Oct. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tables will be set up near the Student Union steps and on Centennial Mall to supply participants with trash bags and gloves, as well as a free T-shirt for volunteering.

Respect UT Fall Campus Clean Up Day is an organized effort to maintain the beauty of campus, as well as to educate and raise awareness about the University’s tobacco policy for designated smoking areas.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to volunteer for an hour to pick up trash and cigarette butts in areas around campus. Students can receive volunteer service hours.
