Now it’s even easier for full-time UT Main Campus faculty and staff to register for free memberships to the Student Recreation Center.
Employees can log in to the myUT portal and after a few simple steps, their memberships will be activated by the next day, according to Steve Hardy, assistant director of operations and marketing at the Student Recreation Center.
“It is not new that full-time Main Campus employees can get free memberships, but now they can do so through the myUT portal,” he said.
Under the employee tab in the myUT portal, faculty and staff can click on “Rec Center Access” under the Benefits Information list and simply review their personal information and agree to rec center policies to register for memberships.
Hardy said the new system will be easier because instead of answering multiple questions to register in person, the information is all provided based on an employee’s information associated with his or her UTAD account.
Part-time Main Campus and Health Science Campus employees also can use the Student Recreation Center at a discounted price of $95 per year for Main Campus part-time employees and $190 per year for Health Science Campus employees.
Use of the center is free for full-time students.
