Jeff Dye, a nationally touring comedian and finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” will perform at Comedy Night Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium.

“We’ve asked the students what events they wanted in a poll, and one of the things they wanted was a comedy event,” said Mathew Straub, director of community engagement in Campus Activities and Programming.

Dye has had two of his own shows on MTV and his own Comedy Central special. He’s been featured on various TV shows, including “Girl Code” and “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

“It’s been a while since Campus Activities and Programming has done something like this, so we want people to show up because if they do show up, we can continue to do events like this at The University of Toledo,” said Neil Cypher-Tierney, vice president of programming and membership in Campus Activities and Programming.

Additionally, Mike Paramore, a comedian from Cleveland and former featured comic for Time Warner Cable OnDemand, will perform during Comedy Night, along with a surprise student host who will be revealed at the show.

The event is free for UT students and $5 for non-students. Tickets are limited and must be picked up at Ask Rocky’s in the Student Union to attend.
