In a letter to University of Toledo Trustees and campus leaders, President Lloyd Jacobs distributed UT’s response to a recent request for injunction regarding reorganization filed by the UT chapter of the American Association of University Professors.

“Attached please find the ‘Memorandum of Defendants in Opposition to Plaintiff’s Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction’ that was filed this a.m. in the Lucas County Common Pleas Court,” Jacobs wrote.

“I am deeply saddened by the necessity of this filing. It is to be expected that reasonable people may differ on issues as important as the future of a great university, which we all love. It has been my hope that such differences could be resolved by respectful colloquy among us. I pledge now to continue to try to do so.”
