Senior soccer player earns first-team All-MAC recognition

Senior Rachel MacLeod received first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors, the league office announced Friday morning.

She becomes only the second player in program history to garner first-team all-league accolades on two occasions.

Two-time MAC Player of the Year Molly Cornwell also was selected first-team all-conference during the 2007 and 2008 seasons.

MacLeod currently ranks second in the league in match-winning scores (4), tied for second in shots (72), third in goals (12) and fourth in total points (27). Her totals also sit third in school history in markers and shots, and fourth in total points in the single-season record book. The Westerville, Ohio, native found the back of the net on nine occasions this fall, including a collegiate-best three scores in a victory against nationally ranked Pepperdine.

A 2011 first-team All-MAC recipient, MacLeod wrapped up her collegiate career second in UT annals in shots (221), tied for second in scores (33) and helpers (17), and third in total points (83).
