Satellites to hold battery, bulb sale Dec. 11

Power up for a bright holiday season: Stop by the Satellites Auxiliary’s batteries and bulbs sale Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Four Seasons Bistro Atrium.

“The average U.S. household has 61 light bulb sockets and 28 battery-powered devices,” Lynn Brand, president of the Satellites, said. “This sale will help you be prepared for every day, as well as the holidays for all the toys and gizmos.”

Specialty flashlights and auxiliary chargers will be for sale, and there will be a variety of light bulbs, including LED, miniature, appliance, halogen and fluorescent.

Purchased batteries can be replaced in up to three watches and/or key fobs.

Looking for a specialty battery? Ask at the sale.

Cash, check, credit cards and payroll deduction will be accepted.

Donations to the Satellites will be gratefully accepted, Brand said.

The Satellites Auxiliary promotes education, research and service programs; provides support of patient programs in accordance with the needs and approval of administration; conducts fundraising events; and offers volunteer services.
