Nuclear Security Enterprise Hiring Event Oct. 7

Looking to jumpstart your career? The Nuclear Security Enterprise is hiring.

Learn about potential internships and part-time and full-time jobs Monday, Oct. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Thompson Student Union Ingman Room.

The Nuclear Security Enterprise is made up of the National Nuclear Security Administration and its labs, plants and sites.

The National Nuclear Security Administration is responsible for enhancing national security through the military application of nuclear science. This semi-autonomous agency within the U.S. Department of Energy maintains and enhances the safety, security and effectiveness of the country’s nuclear weapons stockpile; reduces global nuclear threats; provides the U.S. Navy with safe and effective nuclear propulsion; and responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad.

Opportunities are available for the following majors:

• Mechanical, electrical, nuclear, computer, and chemical engineering;

• Cyber security;

• Computer and data science;

• Physics;

• Mathematics;

• Science;

• Business; and

• Management/project control.

Hiring managers and recruiters will be at the job fair to conduct interviews and extend internship and job offers for several positions, including engineers, contract specialists, nuclear materials couriers and physical scientists.

Nuclear Security Enterprise labs, sites and plants for these jobs and internships are in Kansas City, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C.

Candidates should dress professionally and bring copies of their resumé. They also must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
