The Toledo women’s basketball team will be featured on five times on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel as part of the Mid-American Conference’s television package.UT tied with Central Michigan for the most television appearances.
Fortunately for the four-time reigning MAC West Division Champion Rockets, four of the contests will take place at the friendly confines of Savage Arena. Toledo holds an impressive 72-10 (.878) mark on its home court under sixth-year Head Coach Tricia Cullop, including a 37-3 (.925) ledger against conference opponents.
The Midnight Blue and Gold will host Ball State Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m., arch-rival Bowling Green Sunday, Feb. 2 at noon, Western Michigan Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. and Central Michigan Sunday, March 2, at 2 p.m.
UT also will travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich., to take on the Chippewas Saturday, Jan. 4 at noon.
The Rockets potentially could appear on television two more times under the league’s TV package, which includes 16 regular-season telecasts. The two MAC tourney semifinal contests Friday, March 14 (noon, 2:30 p.m.) and the championship game Saturday, March 15 (time to be announced) will each be aired at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
The 19 women’s games are the most ever aired on the league’s television package.
All games will be produced in high definition, available to Time Warner Cable subscribers, and offered to ESPN for inclusion on ESPN3, Watch ESPN and ESPN Full Court (blackout restrictions may apply).
