At noon on Friday, Jan. 5, the indoor mass notification system in campus buildings will be tested.
This will coincide with the monthly activation of the county-wide emergency sirens when the University’s outdoor public address system is tested.
The routine test will exercise the equipment and check for potential problems to ensure the system is ready in case of an emergency. A short voice message will announce the test, and the amber strobe lights will flash.
During this test, there is no need for occupants to leave the buildings or take any action.
