Now is the chance to get involved.
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership is hosting its Student Involvement Fair on Monday, Jan. 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Auditorium and the Ingman Room.
There are an overwhelming number of resources available to our Rocket community. Whether it be organizations, departments, or events, this Involvement Fair puts them all in one place so that students can engage with them directly and make more informed decisions about how to get involved on campus.
“We’ve got an exciting lineup for this year’s Spring Involvement Fair: live music, giveaways, food samples and, of course, plenty of organization leaders to speak with those students looking to boost their social involvement here on campus,” said Makayla Lockett, program manager for student involvement.
“We want students to know what’s available to them. The Involvement Fair specifically focuses on that out-of-classroom experience for our students.”
This is the first opportunity of the semester for students to engage directly with organization members and begin thinking about how campus involvement can work for them.
“Remember, if you visit the fair and don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always be the change you want to see on your campus,” Lockett said. “The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership is always willing to sit down with a student to talk through their interests and hobbies in the hopes of finding a student organization to connect with. We’d be happy to help make your college experience a fulfilling one.”
