Most days, Carol Stamm helps graduate students perfect their resumés and LinkedIn profiles, but on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 27 and 28, she will offer her expertise at the Professional Staff Association’s brown-bag seminar.

The event, “New Year, New You: Refreshing Your Professional Profile,” will be held in Collier Building Room 1210 on Health Science Campus Jan. 27 from noon to 1:30 p.m. and on Main Campus in Student Union Room 2591 Jan. 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Stamm, who serves as the employer relations and job development specialist in the College of Business and Innovation, will discuss a number of topics, including the new resumé, the importance of LinkedIn profiles, and how to develop professional networks.

Resumés today are different than in the past, and it’s more important now than ever before to keep yours updated at all times and understand how to make it work in your favor, according to Stamm.

“Keep your resumé updated no matter what. You never know when you’ll need to make a change,” she said.

For 17 years, Stamm has worked as a resumé writer. She also was the HR trainer at Hickory Farms in both corporate and the call center, and she held retail management positions at three companies.

Seminar attendees are invited to bring their own lunch and RSVP at https://webforms.utoledo.edu/psa/60073619274.
