Sibs Saturday, the annual UToledo tradition to showcase campus life, is scheduled for a full day of events on Saturday, Feb. 12.

Students and siblings will have the opportunity to attend a women’s basketball game, participate in campus events, spend time in the Student Recreation Center and compete in the 2022 Sibs Scavenger Hunt.

“Sibs Saturday is a wonderful opportunity for UToledo students to spend time with their siblings, learn about what it means to be a Rocket and embrace every opportunity campus has to offer,” said Ben Weiner, associate director for student involvement and engagement.

“There will be an opportunity to attend a basketball game, engage in residential programming and enjoy a late-night movie with Campus Activities and Programming.”

The slate of Sibs Saturday activities include:

•  Women’s Swimming and Diving vs. Bowling Green State University, 10 a.m. prelims and 4:30 p.m. finals, Student Recreation Center Pool. Support UToledo’s women’s swimming and diving team as they face off against the Falcons.

•  Women’s Basketball vs. Bowling Green State University, 2 p.m., Savage Arena. Fresh off a victory over arch-rival BGSU in Bowling Green, the Battle of I-75 returns to Savage Arena.

•  Campus Activities and Programming Late-Night Breakfast and Movie, 9-11 p.m., Thompson Student Union Ingman Room. Wind down from a long Sibs Saturday with a late-night breakfast and a movie. There will be a variety of food.

•  Sibs Scavenger Hunt, Saturday, Feb. 12, and Sunday, Feb. 13, various campus locations.

Work with your sibling to complete the Sibs Scavenger Hunt all weekend long as you visit different parts of campus and take photos at important parts of campus life. The more challenges in which you compete, the more points you and your sibling will receive. The teams with the most points will receive an ultimate Sibs Swag Bag. Register for the Sibs Scavenger Hunt by Friday, Feb. 11 at 11:59 p.m. Students have until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, to submit their participation on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. You will receive your challenges shortly after registration via email.

Additionally, the Office of Residence Life will provide evening programs in each residence hall.

Siblings and their families also will have access to the Student Recreation Center for free while visiting campus, as well as all Main Campus services. To utilize UToledo services, they must be wearing their Sibs Saturday wristband and complete a liability waiver upon arrival.
