Is there a special teacher at The University of Toledo who has had a positive impact on you?

Someone who has inspired, motivated and challenged you?

Take a few minutes to recognize that person.

For the 39th year, the University and the UT Alumni Association will honor the best teachers.

Nominate that faculty member who made a difference in your life. Go to utoledo.edu/offices/provost/outstandingteacher.

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Any full-time faculty member who has not received the Outstanding Teacher Award is eligible; a list of past winners is online with the nomination form.

The winners are selected by a committee of past Outstanding Teacher Award recipients and a student representative who review nominations. The committee’s deliberations are confidential; no one outside the group knows the content of the nominations or the identity of the nominators.

The content of the supporting statement from the nominator weighs heavily in the evaluation of candidates. Nominators are asked to give specific examples that demonstrate the nominee’s ability as an outstanding teacher.

Awards will be presented at the annual UT Outstanding Awards Reception Monday, April 21, at 6 p.m. in the Student Union Ingman Room.

For more information on nominations, contact Amanda Kessler of the UT Alumni Relations Office at 419.530.7859 or at amanda.schwartz@utoledo.edu.
