Today marks an improvement in PeopleAdmin, the University’s online system for managing the hiring process of faculty and staff employees.

According to Connie Michalak, unit director of employment compensation in the Department of Human Resources and Talent Development, those who use PeopleAdmin now can type in their traditional UT usernames and passwords.

“We’ve integrated the PeopleAdmin software with the traditional UTAD system to make PeopleAdmin more streamlined and easier to use,” Michalak explained. “Before you had to create a separate username and password, but as of today, the systems have been integrated into one.”

More enhancements are planned later this year for PeopleAdmin, which is used by about 440 people on all campuses. Michalak said the system will be upgraded, then unified with the Banner finance system before the end of 2012.

PeopleAdmin is used to:

• Create job requisitions;

• Collect employment applications and materials;

• Screen applications;

• Provide automated status updates to job candidates; and

• Administer status/change requests, including modifications in salary, titles and labor, for staff employees.
