The Office of Education Abroad will host Skype Across the World, a live Skype session with UT students studying abroad in Italy, Tuesday, March 24, from noon to 1 p.m. in Student Union Room 3020.

UT students interested in studying abroad are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and hear from their peers who are learning and living abroad.

“This is a great opportunity to connect across the world through social media,” said Education Abroad University Studies Abroad Consortium Ambassador Sean Koogan. “At this event, students also can meet other education abroad ambassadors, and enjoy biscotti and coffee.”

“If you have wondered what it is like to study abroad and how this experience will benefit you academically, professionally and personally, then this event is for you,” said International Education Specialist Michelle Ploeger. “UT students who have studied abroad are excited to share with you what it is like to study, live and travel in another country. Hear firsthand how a global experience will transform your life. Stop by the event and see where this journey will take you.”

UT students who participate in education abroad experience new and diverse academic environments, cultures, people and sights, all while earning college credit.

Education abroad programs include faculty-led, exchange, and affiliate options.

International opportunities are available in more than 40 countries and are offered during breaks, summer, semester and yearlong sessions.
