Workshop to help faculty prepare for promotion, tenure

Faculty Senate and the University Teaching Center will hold a spring workshop focused on helping junior and pre-tenured faculty who are guided by the collective bargaining agreement prepare for academic promotion and tenure.

The workshop, which will consist of presentations, discussion and time for questions, will be offered:

• Wednesday, March 29, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Collier Building Room 1200 on Health Science Campus; and

• Monday, April 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Health and Human Services Building 1711 A and B on Main Campus.

Dr. Linda Rouillard, associate professor of French, will talk about the promotion and tenure process and calendar as defined in the contact of the UT chapter of the American Association of University Professors.

Representatives from the University Committee on Academic Personnel will discuss their review process.

In addition, information regarding the Faculty 180 database and uploading documents to the system will be reviewed.
