Renovations to the outpatient pharmacy on Health Science Campus begin Saturday, April 17.
Once completed, the renovations will add space for patient privacy and enhance workflow and productivity within the facility.
“We ask all of our customers to have patience during construction,” said Cindy Puffer, coordinator of managed care pharmacy services. “We couldn’t move these services to another location, so renovations and customer service will go hand in hand for a few weeks.”
A temporary pickup/drop-off window will be created as construction affects the main lobby area of the existing outpatient pharmacy. Hours of operation will remain unchanged.
Service will not be affected, but customers are asked to place refill orders 48 hours in advance of pickup. The online refill service will continue to be operational, or customers can call the refill telephone line at 419.383.3750.
When opened in late May, the renovated area will include private drop-off and pickup areas, as well as separate space for patient consultations.
“We felt there was a vital need for improved patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) compliance,” Puffer explained. “Protecting our customers’ private health information is our priority. The renovated facility will greatly help in that priority.”
