A direct mail package of materials designed and produced in-house at UT’s Office of Marketing has won a Gold Addy Award at the American Advertising Federation’s District 5 competition.

webseed-money_everythingThe Seed Money Mailer, which was used to announce the Blue and Gold Scholar Award/UT Guarantee to several Ohio superintendents in fall 2008, won a Gold Addy Award at the Toledo-area competition in February. It then was forwarded to the district competition in Charleston, W.Va.

The Seed Money Mailer now will compete against entries from all over the United States in the national Addy competition.

This is the first time an entry from UT has progressed to the national level.

“To compete against entries from across the nation speaks to the high-caliber creative work produced in the UT Marketing Office,” said Lawrence J. Burns, vice president for external affairs and interim vice president for equity and diversity. “We are proud that The University of Toledo has advanced to the national competition and of the talented and team-oriented people that made that possible.”
