The University of Toledo women’s swimming and diving team placed 15 student-athletes on this year’s 2021-22 Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Academic All-MAC Team, the conference recently announced. The selection of 15 marks the second highest in a single season for the Rockets, matching the total from the 2020-21 squad.

Four Rockets posted a perfect 4.0 GPA: sophomores Ryli Harden, Nejla Karic and Morgan Schuld, and junior Kennedy Lovell.

Lovell and seniors Joelle Gallais and Samantha Ekleberry were tabbed for the third time in their career with this honor. Seniors Sydnee Dressel and Kenra Polewaki were joined by juniors Lauren Kilgore, Ashley LeFever, Lisa Lohner and Caroline Wallenbord for their second recognition. The remaining six Rockets are earning this recognition for the first time.

The Academic All-MAC honor is granted to student-athletes who have excelled in their field of competition and in the classroom. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of contests in their sport.
