Ritter Planetarium is offering some unique new shows throughout the month of May.

auroraThe programs are:

Alaskan Adventures: Fridays, through May 29, at 7:30 p.m. This new program examines the Alaskan wonderland through the eyes of Native Americans, adventurers and scientists. Learn about spirits in the skies, gold in the hills and the midnight sun.

Don’t Duck, Look Up: Saturdays, through May 30, at 1 p.m. Join Dudley, an intelligent little duck, as he begins to learn about the sky along with a barnyard full of animal friends. Experience a thunderstorm, a sunset, and the shifting patterns of the nighttime stars. This program is an introduction to the day and night skies, especially for children ages 4 to 8.

Observing at Brook Observatory will follow each Friday night program, weather permitting. And the new sunspotter telescope will be available after the Saturday afternoon program.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for children 3 and older and senior citizens, and free for children 2 and younger.
