For the sixth year, The University of Toledo Paralegal Studies Program will host fifth-grade students from the LEAP Gifted Program at Fallen Timbers Middle School who will try the case, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry vs. Professor Quirrel, based on an incident from the popular Harry Potter series.

The trial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the McQuade Courtroom in Health and Human Services Building Room 1419 on Main Campus.

This courtroom drama will include wizards and professors of magic — all in elaborate costume. Some students even adopt British accents for their counsel or witness presentations.

Parents comprise the jury and watch as their children gain valuable knowledge about the judicial system and case preparation.
