The University of Toledo is preparing a response to a preliminary evaluation report from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The preliminary report created by the consultant evaluators who visited campus in February, along with the response from the University, will be sent to the Higher Learning Commission board for action, at which point it will become public.

“The report is generally positive, and we look forward to the HLC board’s decision on our continued accreditation status,” said HLC Liaison Dr. Penny Poplin Gosetti, UT vice provost for assessment, accreditation and program review. “We have worked to be open and transparent throughout the accreditation process and while we are eager to share the evaluation with our UT community, we must follow the HLC’s rules and regulations. As soon as the board has acted on the report, we will share the findings immediately across campus.”
