Real Estate Developer Appointed to Board of Trustees

Zac Isaac, president of the Isaac Property Co., a real estate development company, has been appointed to The University of Toledo Board of Trustees.

Isaac was named by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to a term beginning June 2, 2022, and ending July 1, 2030.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve on the UToledo Board of Trustees,” Isaac said. “I look forward to working with the Board to help guide the University during these challenging times.”

The Isaac family have been longtime supporters of the former Medical College of Ohio and UToledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Isaac is a member of Medical Research Society and College of Medicine and Life Sciences Dean’s Advisory Council.

Isaac’s father, George Isaac, served on the Medical College of Ohio Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Trustees and his philanthropy has been recognized with the George Isaac Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, Isaac Chair in Cancer Research, the George Isaac Scholarship in Occupational Therapy and the Isaac Presidential Scholarship named in his honor.

Involved in the community, Isaac has served on the Defiance College Board of Trustees for 17 years (Chair) and the boards of directors and for the Greater Toledo Community Foundation (Chair), Toledo Zoological Society (Chair), Junior Achievement of Northwest Ohio (Chair) and AAA Northwest Ohio.

He also has served on the boards for the Spangler Candy Co., Rurban Financial Corp./State Bank & Trust, Paramount Insurance Corp. and the Isaac family businesses.

Isaac earned his J.D. from Ohio Northern University and was on the Law Review and his bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Duke University.
