The University of Toledo women’s and men’s tennis teams were recognized as ITA All-Academic Teams, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently announced. In addition, six student-athletes from the women’s squad and seven student-athletes from the men’s squad have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Julia Kuszynski, Shalini Tallamraju, Patricia Panta, Christina Fuller, Laura Morera and Cassie Alcala all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, as did Filip Zupancic, Max Skaer, Cole Shoults, Nikola Arsic, Vlad Meluta, Thawin Suksathaporn and Luis Kleinschnitz.

To be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.

For a team to receive ITA All-Academic distinctions, the program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
