The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, in the Morse Fitness Center on Health Science Campus.
The event is open to both the campus community and members of the public.
Earlier this week, the American Red Cross declared its second-ever national blood supply crisis, as blood donations fell to a four-year summer low. Currently, the Red Cross has less than a one-day national supply of type O positive blood, which is the most commonly transfused blood type.
Donating blood helps ensure patients receive the care they need, both in Toledo and across the country.
