UToledo faculty and staff who were first-generation college students pose for a group photo Monday on the new mascot plaza as part of the University’s celebration of first-generation college students. At UToledo, roughly one in three students is first-generation — meaning neither parent has completed a bachelor’s degree.

The photo opportunity was hosted by TRIO Student Support Services and leads into the First-Generation Day Celebration on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Ingman Room.
