To help launch January’s annual Charitable Giving Campaign, UToledo is hosting its second annual Wellness Dash on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first floor of Carlson Library Room 1005, the Wellness Dash is focused on health and well-being in keeping with 2024 campaign theme, “One Heart. One Life. One Step.”
The Wellness Dash will feature numerous vendors and activities, one of which is a free chair massage. Chair massage sessions are by appointment only and available on a one-session-per person-basis. Appointments are limited. To sign up, fill out the online chair massage sign-up form.
“The Wellness Dash is designed to heighten awareness regarding the 2023-2024 Campaign,” said Valerie Simmons-Walston, special assistant to the president for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships. “This year we have invited new vendors who will engage our participants through a chair massage, mindful mediation and a demo for cooking healthy snacks.
“We are inviting our community, students, staff and faculty to this event to support a culture of health and well-being at UToledo. Taking time for self-care aligns well with our campaign theme this year: One Heart, One Life, One Step. I hope to see you at the ‘Dash’ on Thursday.”
Four important dates aligned with the 2023-24 employee charitable giving campaign:

• Jan. 23 — E-Pledge kickoff event.
• Feb. 29 — Deadline to complete pledge form.
• March 21 — Annual UToledo Cares Wrap-Up/Celebration Breakfast.
