Season two of Prescribed Listening continues with Dr. William Saunders providing an overview of emergency medicine care and education at The University of Toledo Medical Center.

Saunders, who is chief of emergency medicine at UTMC, breaks down when patients should seek emergency care versus going to an urgent care center or waiting to see their primary care physician. And he explains how emergency departments triage the patients who come into their waiting room.

Saunders also discusses medical education and lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prescribed Listening, a podcast from UTMC, features a new provider each week sharing insight into their medical specialty.
