Influenza vaccinations scheduled to begin Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the morning in Stranahan Hall have been pushed back to the afternoon.
“The want for the vaccine is a great deal higher this year, which is great,” said Dr. Susan Batten, UT associate professor of nursing, adding that 440 flu shots were given at Welloween Friday.
That demand means waiting for a shipment of 2,500 doses that is scheduled to arrive tomorrow at 11 a.m.
Batten said the plan is to hold the flu shot clinic from 1 to 4 p.m. in Stranahan Hall.
“Of course, that schedule is tentative as we hope the shipment arrives on time,” she said. “We’re ready to go once the vaccine arrives. We’ll be there to serve the Main Campus community.”
