The University of Toledo women’s soccer team placed 12 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, the conference announced Thursday.
The Rockets are represented by sophomore Emma Boutorwick, senior Claire Cahalan, senior Ashton Cassel, junior Marcy Clark, junior Stephanie “Stitch” Currie, senior Betsy Lueck, senior Anita Mancini, sophomore Emily Mann, sophomore Madison “Mojo” Medalle, junior Rylee Michaels, senior Alex Troy and sophomore Grace Turski.
Cahalan is being named to the Academic All-MAC squad for the fourth time, while Troy, Cassel, Lueck and Mancini are three-time recipients. Boutorwick, Clark, Currie and Michaels are now two-time honorees.
The honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
