Because faculty, staff and retiree contributions to the annual UT Charitable Campaign (formerly known as the United Way Campaign) are just short of meeting this year’s $125,000 goal, the deadline for pledging a gift has been extended to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 19

“With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, as well as increased activities at the end of the semester, I want to ensure everyone has ample time and notification to make a contribution,” said Dr. Willie McKether, vice president for diversity and inclusion, and chair of this year’s campaign.

“We’re very proud our University of Toledo community has always exceeded our campaign goal, and so I really hope there are still some individuals who will join us in showing ‘Unity for Community’ by making a donation by noon this Wednesday,” he said.

More information about the campaign is available on the campaign website.

To pledge your gift, see your campaign emails from McKether and click on the link provided.

Each person who makes a contribution by noon Dec. 19, regardless of the amount, will receive a complimentary gift and be invited to a breakfast buffet hosted by President Sharon L. Gaber; the event is slated for Thursday, Jan. 31, from 8 to 9 a.m. in Savage Arena Grogan Room.
