Vaccinated students and employees can enter by voluntarily submitting proof of vaccination using UToledo’s secure vaccine registry portal. The first winners will be selected on Thursday, Aug. 19, and drawings will continue weekly until Thursday, Oct. 7.

Masks are required indoors on campus effective immediately. The protocol is in line with updated guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for communities with high transmission rates and applies to everyone, regardless of their vaccination status.

Dr. Joel Kammeyer, infectious disease specialist at UTMC and assistant professor in the UToledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, said a recent study found the COVID-19 vaccine made by Pfizer is 96% effective against hospitalization from the virus’s delta variant and encouraged people to get vaccinated.
